Our Lady of the Sioux Hosts Vacation Bible Camp

Students

A dedicated group of Our Lady of the Sioux parishioners came together to plan and host a vacation bible study camp from July 7th to 9th. The camp took place at Our Lady of the Sioux in Oglala, providing a captivating and informative experience for youth spanning various age groups. This event served as a platform for young individuals to unite, delve into their faith, and forge a deeper connection with God.

Drawing the participation of nearly 30 enthusiastic youths, the vacation bible camp spanned three days, with participants engaging in activities for several hours each day. The curriculum included interactive lessons, engaging games, enjoyable activities, and profound discussions centered around the Bible. The outcomes were remarkable, as attendees walked away with cherished memories and transformative insights.

Fr. Brad, reflecting on the camp’s success, shared, “This marked the inaugural year of the camp. It stemmed from the initiative of a dedicated group of parishioners who took the reins in its organization and execution. The turnout was truly heartening. I believe the group aspires to make this an annual event for the coming years.”
