We are a Roman Catholic community of faith in the heart of the Oglala Lakȟóta Nation (the Pine Ridge Reservation). We are one Lakȟóta Catholic community with several church sites in communities throughout the Reservation.
Our Belief
From our Lakȟóta lay leadership, parishioners, and Jesuit priests we are present for our community every day, offering support and love and extending the good word of Jesus Christ.
Closer look
With six active churches and three active missions, our pastoral ministry programming serves more than 800 families on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Outreach initiatives in religious education, recovery ministry and leadership development ensure that these families, and so many more, have a safe and supportive environment to gather and share.
